With our second symposium held on July 20th, 2017, the BioInnovation course participants presented their final concept prototypes and pitched their ideas to an audience of more than 80 people, consisting of fellows, industry experts, researchers, and investors.
The BioInnovation summer symposium 2017 was held in the showroom of the chair for Industrial Design at Technical University Munich, and marked the final presentation of our three student teams. In the last 6 months, the teams specialized in the areas of Obstetrics, Urology, and Vascular Surgery, and identified innovative concepts based on unmet clinical needs.
With a dedicated framework program around challenges with respect to team design and work in healthcare as well as design pricniples for digital health and general medical devices, three invited speakers provided an exceptional venue for all people at the symposium. We would like to thank Prof. Fritz Frenkler, Dr. Torsten Scheuermann, and Christopher Kearney for their inspiring talks, and also would like to express our gratitude to all people and participants who supported the symposium.
We are looking forward to welcoming all of you again to our next Symposium on January 25, 2018!
